PM 2.5 toxic dust, the silent killer behind bronchitis

Fine dust particles measuring no more than 2.5 microns, or PM 2.5, are one of the air pollutants that pose a high risk to health, especially the human respiratory system. Long-term inhalation of PM 2.5 can trigger “bronchitis,” a major factor that reduces the quality of life of patients and, in some cases, can even lead to death.  PM 2.5 comes from various sources, including fuel combustion, such as road transport, industrial plants, waste burning, or even forest fires in rural areas. These dust particles can remain suspended in the air for a long time and spread far from the source.
